Can you make a swimming pool smaller?

It is definitely possible to make a swimming pool smaller however it is not always the preffered option as this is a labour intensive action. Firstly will need to drain the pool, mark out the section that needs to be demolished, break the shell of the demolished section this can be done with jackhammers, a tlb or core drilling holes through the shell of the demolished section. Once demolished we can re-build the wall or walls to complete the smaller pool, will need to roughen the surface of the existing wall, tie the reinforcing together form the concrete shell with ready mix concrete. Once done the pool lining will need to be complete and the pool may be re-filled.  

How to find a leak in the swimming pool?

If your pool is losing water, this may be due to evaporation (which can be calculated) or it can be from a leak. 

Detecting a leak is fault finding painful exercize. Main places for leaks are crack in the lining or shell, leak at the weir or light, leaking pips or leaking gaskets. The first step is to let the water level drop until it stops, the level where it stops will indicate the leak so if it stops at the weir but above the aimflow then the weir is cracked, if it stops just below the aimflow the pipes are cracked and if it drops lower it is the light of the lining that are is cracked. The last thing to check is the sight glass on the backwash, if set to the filter position there should be no water in the glass, if there is water this means the gasket on the 5 way valve needs to be replaced and water is been lost to the backwash. A Pressure Test of the piping system will locate any pipe that have been punctured from external sources, like a gardener digging with his spade. 

How to repair swimming pool?

Main item to repair on the swimming pool is the lining that may be damaged from lack of maintenance, the age of the pool or from external sources like routes of trees. This is a simple process which takes 3 to 5 days and involves draining the pool, preparing the surface, re-lining the pool and reinstating the water.
