Commercial Swimming Pools

AQUATICS CENTERS

The average size swimming pool in a aquatics centre is 25m with multiple lanes. Generally include disabled ramp and step access and may be located both indoor and outdoor.
Construction is usually concrete and the lining may be marbelite or tiled. Design must include all balance and backwash tanks and any overflow draining systems which may be required. construction of the concrete.

APARTEMENT, HOTELS AND COMPLEXES

In most tenders the Design and layouts have already been done, our scope is limited to the construction and commissioning of the swimming pool. The average size is 15m x 5m dependant on the number of occupants. These are very similar to residential pool, with the main difference been the pump and filtration system. 

Pump and Filtration

The filtration system in general comprise of dual pumping system offering 100% redundancy. The Sand filtration units are either horizontal of vertical and are sized dependent on the pump capacity. 

Systems must include a chlorine gas disinfection unit, a UV filters unit, a Soda Ash and chlorine dosing system. A heating units with solar blankets. 

Construction Team 

Consists of the design team, a MEP team, Civil team, E& I Team and our finishing team. 

Civil Team is limited to Excavation, Concrete shell, pump rooms & outbuilding, tanks and any above ground work that may be required. 

MEP team handles all the plumbing and underground installation, the pump room and utility room, any fire system that may be required. 

E&I ensures that DB's are sized correctly, cable sized are correct based on mechanical load and that correct lighting in and outside of the pool. 

Finishing teams are project specific and includes activities like tiling, marbeling etc. The Quality team will ensure that finished are installed correctly

Commissioning Division

First step in commissioning any system is to ensure that all sub-systems have been installed, tested, punched and back-punched. The Quality Control plan shall correctly cover all pre-commissioning activities all hold points must be signed by the responsible person. Once pre-commissioning MC is achieved we can proceed to energize the sytem. The Equipment must be commissioned in accordance with manufactures manuals and once all sub-system have been commission a final hand over package shall be submitted to client for final acceptance. 

 

 

Operation & Maintenance

BW Luxury Pools can assist in implementing efficient testing, service and maintenance procedure.

This will provide continuity of project support, longevity of product, legislative compliance, reduced facility downtime, we can assist in the implementation of an efficient testing, service and maintenance procedure.

We can assist with water analysis and reporting, periodic scheduled service appointments and filtration and hydraulic equipment maintenance.

Duration all depends on the scope and size of complex, a Olympic size swimming pool may take 12 month or more to complete depending on the extent of the scope. The greater chunck of the scope that we can manage the faster the construction period will be as we can reduce interfaces which will intern allow us to achieve project milestones.

Weather definitely affect the progress on any construction site, even indoor arena may be affected by off site activities that may be adversely delayed by weather condition, do example deliveries may be delay will affect daily tasks.
